Laughter Therapy Laughter is our natural response to humour. Laughter is a vital for dealing with stress. When we laugh we inhibit the flow of stress hormones (adrenalin). This stress hormone can weaken the immune system and raise the blood pressure. When we laugh we increase the production of B-cells (a disease fighting anti-body), and T-cells which are important for our immune system.
